Advanced Valuation and Strategy - M&A, Private Equity, and Venture Capital | FREE Finance course |
Hello and welcome to this course!
Want to learn about
the latest valuation methods to help you make better business decisions? Then
'Advanced Valuation and Strategy - MandA, Private Equity and Venture Capital'
from Erasmus University Rotterdam is for you. This course is useful for
managers who need to evaluate a complete strategy, as well as students
interested in corporate finance and strategy. Introducing the latest tools and
how to use them!
Revolutionizes the
way decisions are made by extending the static methods of corporate finance
with dynamic methods for quantifying strategic thinking. Traditionally, we
judge an investment's attractiveness as a mature business whose future cash
flows derive primarily from past decisions. But in an ever-changing world,
strategic decisions determine the long-term success and market value of a
company. However, managers often need to consider these long-term effects based
solely on intuition and experience, without being guided by structured
quantitative analysis.
Our treatments go far
beyond the use of standard evaluation analyses. We present an extended NPV that
brings together DCF, real-world options, and game theory. Thinking in terms of
options, games, and adaptive strategies, managers can answer strategic
questions such as: How do you value a leveraged buyout? How do you value a tech
venture with negative cash flow? When should I gradually invest in a new
venture? How can I include competing bidders in my analysis?
The tools we provide
can help you make better decisions in business and everyday life can do.
