I’m Amanda Frens, a Communication and Multimedia Design student, specialising in illustration and animation. Over the last couple years I've been so inspired by others and learned so many, that I really wanted to share and give some of that knowledge back.
In this course I want to show you how to create a character in Adobe Illustrator and make it ready for Adobe After Effects. In Adobe After Effects I'll show you how to rig the character with the free plug-in duik and then we can start on some dance moves!
For who is this course?
This class is for students who know the basics of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After Effects and want to know how to make those two work together in Character Animation. This class is intermediate. You should have a basic understanding of the Adobe illustrator and Adobe After Effects interfaces and tools. But for the doubters under us, you know more than you think!
Materials:
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe After Effects
Free Plug-in Duik
Positivity & Perseverance
What will you learn?
In this class I will be sharing how I illustrate a character, how I setup the layers and constructions in Adobe Illustrator before moving my file to Adobe After Effects. How to manage all the files in Adobe After Effects to keep it clean and simple. How to make the character into a puppet with the DUIK plugin, and tricks & tips for animating it.
I’m really excited to start my first class on Skillshare! I hope you have fun and I can’t wait to see what you come up with in the class projects. :)
Thank you!
